In December 2003 Brother released the HL-6050, with a duty cycle of 60,000 pages per month and print speed of up to 25 pages per minute (ppm). With a first page out of less than 11 seconds the HL-6050 was one of the fastest Brother printers available at the time of its release.
The supplies set is made up of a 7,500 page yield toner cartridge (TN-670 in N. America & Latin America, TN-4100 in Europe) and a 30,000 page yield drum unit (DR-600 in N. America & Latin America, DR-4000 in Europe). Toner cartridges do not require a chip, but do have a flag gear that must be reset with each remanufacturing.
